MICA is proud to have obtained the Carboneutre Entreprise certification for 2021 from LCL Environnement and to have offset 100% of its Co2 emissions, a valuable goal that helps protect the planet.
Step by step, MICA is going digital and shifting to a paperless environment. Whenever possible, documents and forms are converted into electronic format, which facilitates electronic signatures.
The mission of the Enviro Committee, which is made up of employees from the head office, is to create and deploy initiatives aimed at reducing MICA's impact on the environment. The committee members discuss the company's practices with a view to improving them and develop the necessary strategies.
Through the MICA Foundation, the company supports several causes that are dear to its heart, including the Groupe d'entraide internationale Spirale and the Oscar A. Romero Community Center in the town of Nandaime, Nicaragua. Among other things, MICA's involvement has contributed to the creation of a daycare center for children, the digging of wells for the water supply and the financing of a community farm.
