The Mutual Fund Entry Agent is responsible for administering the entire processing of a transaction from receipt at the head office to confirmation from the fund company. He/she ensures that a climate of cooperation is maintained with the other departments and that the latter's requirements are met.
Challenges:
- Complete management of the receipt of documents and perform the analysis, opening and approval of accounts on a daily basis
- Administer the entire transaction process (electronic and non-electronic) and process transactions in mutual funds, segregated funds and exempt markets
- Communicate with representatives on an ad hoc basis to finalize incomplete files
- Participate in the daily Fundserv settlement process and the preparation of the bank deposit
- Ensure that all documents to be indexed during the day are processed under the representative and client files
- Suggest improvements that would streamline processes and increase efficiency
- All other related tasks.
Assets:
- A DEC in financial services, administration or a related discipline and 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of the mutual fund environment and financial services products (an asset)
- Be able to plan the work to be done and manage the tasks according to their priority
- Ability to work under pressure
- Have an analytical mind and be meticulous
- Comfortable with information technology
